AI that replaces human judgment in regulated industries doesn't pass the CISO, the GC, or the regulator. AI that supports it does.

The most dangerous AI deployments in regulated industries are the ones that move too fast — that execute actions before a human has had the opportunity to review them. An agentic AI that routes documents, triggers obligations, or sends communications without a human checkpoint is a liability risk disguised as a productivity tool.

TeamSync's agentic architecture is built on a different premise: AI should do the work of finding, classifying, routing, and preparing — and humans should make the call on what actually happens.

How human-in-the-loop works in TeamSync

  • Teams define the rules. Every automated workflow in TeamSync runs on rules that a team member configured — not on rules the AI inferred from patterns. The boundary of AI autonomy is always explicit.
  • Outputs queue for human review. Before any agentic action is finalised — before a document is routed, a signature is requested, a compliance alert is filed — the output lands in a human review queue. The action does not execute until a human approves it.
  • Override is always available. A human can modify, reject, or escalate any AI-generated recommendation at any point in the workflow. The AI cannot lock a decision.
  • Every approval is logged. The audit chain records not just what the AI recommended, but which human approved it, at what time, and with what justification.

Why this matters for regulated industries

The EU AI Act classifies AI systems used in employment, credit, insurance, and critical infrastructure as high-risk systems requiring human oversight. FINRA guidance on AI in financial services requires that AI-assisted decisions remain subject to human review and override. The Indian DPDP Act requires that automated decisions affecting data subjects be subject to human contestation.

TeamSync's architecture is designed for this regulatory environment. Human-in-the-loop is not an optional add-on. It is the default operating model.

Supporting expertise, not replacing it

A legal analyst who uses DocuTalk to surface relevant clauses still applies legal judgment to interpret them. A compliance officer who uses the workflow engine to route regulatory filings still makes the decision to approve or escalate. TeamSync amplifies domain expertise — it does not attempt to replicate it.

This distinction matters for recruitment, for professional standards compliance, and for the cultural adoption that determines whether an AI deployment actually gets used.
