If the AI can't show you where it got the answer, the answer isn't trustworthy.

Black-box AI has no place in regulated enterprise. When a compliance officer receives an AI-generated risk alert, the first question is not "what does the AI think?" — it is "which clause, which document, which version triggered this?" If the AI cannot answer that question, the alert cannot be acted on.

TeamSync is built around citation-grounded retrieval. Every answer traces back to a specific span in a specific document version.

What citation-grounded means in practice

  • DocuTalk answers include the exact source document and section that informed each part of the response. Users can click through to the original document.
  • Risk alerts produced by agentic workflows reference the specific clause, obligation, or threshold that triggered the alert — not a confidence score.
  • Summaries produced by the summarisation capability link each summarised point back to the source paragraph. The summary and the source are always one click apart.
  • eDiscovery results include the full provenance chain: who created the document, who modified it, which version was in place at the time of the relevant event.

Explainability for regulators and oversight bodies

The EU AI Act, FINRA examination guidance, and FDA Part 11 all require that AI-assisted decisions in high-risk contexts be explainable to oversight bodies. "The AI flagged it" is not an acceptable explanation. "Clause 7.3 of the Master Service Agreement, version dated 14 March 2024, contains language that triggers the counterparty concentration limit set in your internal policy document P-2021-047" is.

TeamSync is designed to produce the second type of answer.

Audit trail for AI interactions

Every AI query, every response, and every citation is anchored in the audit chain. Regulators can independently verify not just what the AI said, but what documents it was given access to at the time, which version of the model produced the answer, and which user submitted the query.
